Renovation Week: materials at the heart of the transition towards sustainable buildings
In the context of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU, the three regions jointly organised Renovation Week from 15 to 18 January at the Maison de la Poste (Tour & Taxis). The event organised by the Brussels region on 17 January focused on the topic of sustainable materials.
Boosting renovation at the European level
The event brought together political decision-makers from the different EU member states who play a key role in developing regulations and standards to boost sustainable building renovation.
Brussels knowhow
The seminar organised by the Brussels region on 17 January was devoted to materials, considering them at the heart of the transition to sustainable buildings. The event allowed participants to discover the importance of materials in the green transition as well as to highlight Brussels' expertise in this area. It was also an opportunity to present our action plans, strategies and tools taking into account materials and the circular economy in order to address sustainability challenges.
